The NWAA has now launched its Take Off in Aerospace campaign, dedicated to helping create the next generation of aerospace talent.

Take Off In Aerospace offers young people a chance to experience the industry in a hands-on, exciting way, with a taste of the challenges and rewards associated with a career in the industry.

Initiatives include Young People Awards, the Make It In Aerospace Enterprise Challenge Series (in conjunction with The Manufacturing Institute’s Make It campaign), and a presence at careers and young people events throughout the Northwest.

A Take Off In Aerospace section of the Make It In Manufacturing website has interactive content, information for parents and careers advisers, video case studies and day in the life profiles of aerospace employees.

By raising the profile of the sector to young people, teachers and guardians, the NWAA hopes to make people aware of the reality of today’s aerospace industry- that it’s modern, innovative and global. What’s more, North West England’s aerospace companies can offer an aspiring student excellent career prospects.

Regular updates about the campaign will also be posted on Facebook and Twitter.
