The NWAA is delighted to announced that land speed legend Richard Noble OBE is to be guest speaker at this year’s youth awards.
The NWAA New Talent Awards will take place on Thursday, February 3 at the Museum of Science and Industry, Manchester.
Richard Noble (pictured above with driver Andy Green) specialises in high risk adventure, and famously masterminded the World Land Speed Record in 1997 with the Thrust SSC (supersonic car) programme. He is now the director of the Bloodhound project, attempting to break the current record by reaching speeds of 1,000mph.
Mr Noble will address the audience at the New Talent Awards, following young speaker Anthony Stagg, senior propulsion engineer at BAE Systems and former NWAA youth ambassador.
During the award ceremony, sponsored by Rolls-Royce, Unison Engine Components, BAE Systems, Training 2000, MBDA , Xchanging HR Services and Nelson and Colne College, winners will be announced for five trophies.
