Martin Wright, NWAA chief executive, and David Bailey, operations director, today met with Clément Gignac, the Québec Minister of economic development, innovation and export trade.
The Minister praised the NWAA’s groundbreaking ASCE (Aerospace Supply Chain Excellence) programme as ‘the most comprehensive he had seen or heard of’ and revealed he would be using it as a basis to secure funding in Canada for a similar project known as MACH.
Meanwhile, Sprint Puglia, a southern Italy aerospace cluster, visited the pavilion to ‘match-make’ a number of its own members to NWAA members including CML Group, Dormer Tools and Hurst Green Plastics, in a bid to increase trade links between the two countries.
In the evening, a delegation of NWAA staff attended a Quebec reception at the Canadian embassy in London.
