NWAA backs Indian office

Posted by: Victoria Category: NWAA news Date: Thursday, September 22, 2011

At the NWAA we have been working to help establish a permanent office in India for use by our member companies.

This facility, in Bangalore, is now open. The NWAA has helped to underwrite the office, which has been opened by aerospace organisation ADS and The UK Advanced Engineering Representative Office (UK AERO), and offers a real opportunity for NW companies.

It is designed to assist in the development of UK companies’ business interests in India, and is based in the landmark Concorde Tower of the UB City – a hi-tech commercial development.

NWAA member companies can rent access to the facility, which will provide the use of an office address, hot desk facility, and support from a UK AERO expert office manager.

Businesses requiring further information about the India office should contact Alan Fisher on 020 7091 4513, or email Alan.Fisher@adsgroup.org.uk

Leicester-based turning, milling, grinding and workholding solutions business Hardinge Machine Tools Ltd has also joined, along with HMK Technical Services, the Congleton supplier of drive automation products.

Others include engineering company Metal Spinners Group Ltd of Newcastle upon Tyne, along with Sheffield based IT specialists OCF plc, Douglas, Isle of Man manufacturers Solidstrip Plastic Abrasives and plant and equipment suppliers The Frank Barnes Group, of Darwen, Lancashire.
