London show a key event for NWAA

The North West Aerospace Alliance flewthe flag for the North West at the 13th annual MRO Europe Conference and Exhibition during September.
The event brought together airlines, operators, manufacturers and MRO (maintenance, repair, overhaul) companies, and took place from September 28-30 at the ExCeL Centre in London.
It aimed to examine the current state of the industry and look to the future. Keynote speakers included Willie Walsh, chief executive of British Airways.
Ford signs up to aerospace excellence programme

South Tyneside aerospace company Ford Aerospace Ltd has become the first customer to sign up to the NWAA’s supply chain development programme ASCE.
The manufacturer also joins the programme in a milestone as the NWAA’s first independent company not receiving regional support.
ASCE is a multi-million-pound scheme designed to elevate the key companies within the supply chain to world competitive status.
